Andrew is a composer of unusual versatility for film, TV and theatre. He combines his own distinctive style with a rare melodic gift and an uncanny ability to inhabit a wide variety of genres. Andrew is also an accomplished orchestrator and arranger and has worked on Emmy-winning and BAFTA, Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated projects.
Musical theatre compositions include GIRL IN A CRISIS a one-woman musical performed by Olivier Award winning performer Lorna Want at Brasserie Zedel and at Nuffield Theatre, Southampton in 2018, JAZZED TALES at Greenwich Theatre, London (released on 33Jazz), ALICE IN WONDERLAND at the Jack Lyons Concert Hall, York, FACE IN THE CROWD (Greenwich Theatre), BILLY BOW (The Curve, Leicester, Sparks Festival), DIDO Workshop (Soho Theatre London with Emma Williams), MONGOLIAN FOLKTALES (commissioned for children in Mongolia 2018), THE WEIRD LITTLE WORLD OF WILLIAM WILLOW (workshopped at Omnibus, Clapham) and GABRIEL (written with Nick Stimson) which was performed by Southampton University Christmas 2016. This year Andrew is collaborating with Thrown Together Theatre on a comedy musical entitled BIG MOUSE STRIKES AGAIN being performed at the Nuffield Theatre Southampton in February 2019.
Andrew’s film composition credits include music for the video games GUARDIANS OF ANCORA and AGE OF HEROES, the films NINE MILES DOWN, JOURNAL OF A CONTRACT KILLER (both with Stephen Parsons), the animated short LILY WHITE and the sci-fi thriller ZERO SUM. His additional composition credits for television include the natural history series GREAT BARRIER REEF (BBC), ROCKET MEN (Dangerous), HOW THE UNIVERSE WORKS (Discovery), and LAST DAYS OF THE DINOSAURS (Discovery).
