Rob Rohrer | Director

Rob started as a print journalist on the Sunday Times Insight team. His filmmaking credentials are impressive and include BUMPING THE ODDS for BBC Films (RTS and BAFTA Best Single Drama Nomination and Winner Celtic Film Festival Best Feature Length film) and many highly regarded and prize-winning drama/documentaries and documentaries through his company Halcyon Productions.

Currently enjoying working on continuing drama series, Rob's work on Lime Pictures' HOLLYOAKS (Series Producer Emma Smithwick) includes a week-long rape court case and landmark debate decided by a jury of viewers who gave a real insight into the jurors' arguments and how people react to those arguments (tx first quarter 2011). Parts of the jury's exchanges on the subject were also made into an online film. Rob's latest block of HOLLYOAKS went out in October 2011 and he is back on contract to the programme until late January 2012.

2009 work includes EMMERDALE for ITV Productions (most recently May - August 2009) where the crash scene was nominated in the 'Spectacular Scene' category at the 2010 Soap Awards and BBC TV's flagship daytime drama DOCTORS (Series Producers Mike Hobson and Peter Errol-Lloyd, most recently October - November 2009).

Rob also continues to develop original projects for television and film.
