Michael Chappell | Writer

Michael has extensive experience in popular television. He was a regular contributor to BBC Daytime's long-running popular series DOCTORS from 2002-2011, first in a writing partnership with Richard Stevens and more recently on a solo basis.

Michael wrote for BBC Scotland's soap RIVER CITY from 2007-08 and was part of the core team taking the programme from a 30- to a 60-minute format.

He is also on the writing team for GIGGLEBIZ - children's tv über-personality Justin Fletcher's sketch show (Christmas Special 2010 on which Michael was lead writer; Series 2 winter/spring 2010-2011). Michael's animation credits include Ludorum's series for CBeebies CHUGGINGTON (2011).

Original work in development includes a drama series pilot script APOSTLE and a children's comedy series PLAYING MUM (the latter in development with Lime Pictures).
