Laurence is an award winning composer, lyricist and writer with a background in music theatre.
His seasonal musical THE LOST CHRISTMAS was performed at Waterloo East Theatre, London this Christmas and his new musical THROUGH THE DOOR was performed in a workshop in New York starring Kerri Butler.
His musical written with Roberto Trippini ROLL ON THE DAY will be produced in London this spring.
He conceived, scripted and wrote music & lyrics for the off Broadway musical TOMORROW MORNING which recently enjoyed a run at the York Theatre in New York garnering award nominations and excellent reviews (April 2011). In 2009 the show received the Jeff Award in Chicago for Best Musical [midsize] and for Best Artistic Specialization for its production at Victory Gardens Greenhouse Theater.
TOMORROW MORNING was produced in a major new production in London autumn 2010 at The Landor Theatre with excellent reviews and a four star critic's choice in Time Out. It has had two productions in Melbourne, Australia and further international productions are planned.
Laurence's new work was recently performed in THE GREAT BRITISH MUSICAL, The Famous and The Future gala concert at the Criterion Theatre in April 2011, sung by Paul Keating and Michael Xavier.
Other work in North America includes composing the original music for the very successful Bailiwick Chicago production of Joe DiPietro’s play F**KING MEN (June 2010).
Laurence's musical THROUGH THE DOOR (book by Judy Freed) premièred in a West End gala concert at the Trafalgar Studios in 2009.
He is currently working on a new musical GIRLFRIENDS for Korean producers OD Musical and music for a TV project.
As well as his ongoing slate of music theatre projects, Laurence is especially interested in composing for theatre, TV & film and in developing scripts for stage & TV.
