Eddy is committed to drama as a powerful medium for storytelling and communication.
He has worked extensively on HOLLYOAKS (Lime Pictures, Executive Producer Bryan Kirkwood), directing over 90 episodes of this very popular show. Work on the programme includes the high-profile story of Esther's suicide attempt after months of torment from bullies (spring 2013). Eddy directed the opening two episodes of HOLBY CITY Series 18 for Series Producer Simon Harper at BBC TV (2015). He is currently on contract to DOCTORS (BBC1 Daytime) to the end of May 2017.
Bespoke work includes SICK PARTY (summer 2012) - an educational story outlining the phenomenon of the 'party' model of grooming for Leeds-based charity Genesis, which Eddy wrote, directed and co-produced, using a crew of largely students and recent graduates of the Northern Film School. The film is used for outreach work in schools and with groups. The Chief Medical Officer of Great Britain used the storyline in his 2013 Annual Report as a case study of how medical professionals can reach out to young people 'in their own medium.'
