David Andrew Ward | Director


David is a double-Emmy Award winning director of drama and commercials, with a particular emphasis on comedy and character/performance-driven work.

 

Drama includes SIXTY CUPS OF COFFEE a black comedy short set in a Texas diner (Raygun Films, US, 2001) and THE FALL OF SHUG MCCRACKEN a 35mm short black comedy (Posh Pics/Raygun Films/Scottish Screen, 2002).

 

David is lining up his first full length feature and has been doing development work on: EASY BOONDOG a comedy-chase movie set in Chicago written by David Logan; BAD MONKEY a 'slacker' comedy set in India written by Simon Mayle for producer John Hay and NEW INSTRUCTION a black comedy about property and market economics written by Ian Skelton.

 

Work in 2010 includes Impact Films/Hyde Park Entertainment's LOST CHRISTMAS directed by John Hay and co-written by David Logan, John Hay and Eddie Izzard, who also stars.  This premiered on BBC TV in the Christmas season 2011, and will be released theatrically overseas.

 

David has also developed television work including an original comedy series HOLDING TREACLE by first-time writer Trevor Walshe.
