Allan Plenderleith | Writer
Allan created GORDON GNOME Collingwood O'Hare's 52 x 11-minute animated series for CBeebies (2005), voiced by (the iconic!) Alan Titchmarsh and shown around the world.
More recent work includes the gorgeous DRIVER DAN'S STORY TRAIN (3 Line Media/twofour54, Abu Dhabi for CBeebies, January 2010) as well as other much-loved brands including HORRID HENRY (Novel Entertaiment), NODDY (Chorion) and THOMAS AND FRIENDS (Gullane) (all winter/spring 2010).
In 2009, Allan was on the writing team for DEAD GORGEOUS (Coolabi/CBBC/ABC, Australia) and wrote and storylined ARTY for Tinopolis/TFl, France.
Current pre-school projects include DRIVER DAN'S STORY TRAIN 2; TREE FU TOM for Cbeebies/Fremantle, USA; TILLY AND FRIENDS for Jam Media, Ireland and an animation series bible for Cloudtopia Entertainment, Hong Kong.
Allan's prize-winning Flash animation films S.P.I.F. a comedy about adolescent angst and THE GREYHOUND about a man and his canine companion are on the animation festival and short film website circuit.
Allan also continues to feed the voracious demand for his best-selling ODD SQUAD range of greeting cards and associated merchandise.
Allan's hugely popular books for pre-school children PRINCESS CHOCOLATE (2011), THE BOY GIANT (2009) and THE SMELLY SPROUT (2008) (all Ravette Publishing) also perform strongly in 'app' form.
