Simon has written two episodes of the first ever TV show in the UK featuring Elmo and the Cookie Monster in a partnership between CBeebies and Sesame Street. The sesason premiere is on Friday 26 September with episodes on Fridays and Saturdays at 5pm. THE FURCHESTER HOTEL is a series for 3-6 year olds set in an ‘almost’ world-class hotel run by a close-knit family of cheerfully chaotic monsters. The series introduces brand new characters and also welcomes the beloved Elmo and Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
BBC1's daytime drama hit from spring 2013, the critically acclaimed WPC 56, returns for a second series which transmits Monday to Friday at 14.15 from Monday, 10 February 2014. Series 1 is repeated in the same slot w/b Monday 3 February. The drama follows Gina Dawson, played by Jennie Jacques, now settling into her work as a policewoman in a fictional, 1950s Midlands constabulary.

Kali Theatre, Arts Alive and Black Country Touring present MY BIG FAT COWPAT WEDDING by Sayan Kent on a four week tour from October to rural and urban venues and in London at Soho Theatre’s Soho Elsewhere on 21 & 22 October 2014, Brown’s Courtrooms, St. Martin’s Lane, WC2. This new theatrical comedy was inspired by an urban/rural community exchange and has been 3 years in the planning. Prejudices were uncovered about different lives and the result is a celebration of a mixed marriage between a country girl and a lad from the city, in an exploration of relationships across the divide of rural/urban, race and gender.
JJ Almond is Executive Director of PARK THEATRE – London’s newest two space, state-of-the-art theatre situated thirty seconds from Finsbury Park tube station. After the success of THE INCOMERS play last year with the same creative team, Windswept Productions are developing RUNNING STAG - THE GLAMPING PROJECT with support from Arts Council England as a play and an online 'anti-play'. RUNNING STAG by poet, playwright and satirist Murray Lachlan Young and directed by Paul Jepson, has been researched and developed March-June 2014, and is scheduled to tour in Autumn 2015. It aims to be a darkly funny, satirical investigation into the modern malady of loss of spirituality and too much choice. Peter Webber (GIRL WITH A PEARL EARRING) is attached to direct an adaptation of Rose Tremain’s New Zealand Gold Rush-set novel THE COLOUR.
The film is in development with producer Ray Marshall’s Festival Films and will be co-produced with New Zealand producer Tim Coddington’s Nukuhau Films as an official NZ/UK co-production.
