Martin has the rare gift of writing accessible popular drama which gets to the heart of matters of faith and morality.

Writing highlights include Martin’s adaptation of Karol Wojtyla’s (Pope John Paul II) THE JEWELLER’S SHOP (Leicester Square Theatre, 2011) and THIS IS MY BODY (2014) the story of a woman coming to terms with being the victim of trafficking in the UK. Out on tour in summer 2014 and showcased at the St James’s Theatre, London in October 2014 during Anti-Slavery Week, the play was directed by Paul Jepson and performed by the Polish actress Agata Jarosz. In October 2015 the play was awarded ‘Best Stage Production dealing with Modern Slavery’ at a ceremony where awards, handed out by Home Secretary Theresa May, were also bestowed on journalists from Channel 4’s Dispatches programme, BBC Radio 4 and The Guardian.  THIS IS MY BODY was produced at the Northcott Theatre, Exeter in March 2016 and further productions are planned.

Martin also runs a theatre company Ten Ten Productions who tour widely, bringing drama on social and moral issues to schools and other educational institutions, young offender institutions and prisons.
